From the Commish

Another year has come and gone.  I hope it has been fun for all!  The board and I are already planning next year.  We have identified some challenges or “lessons learned” to be worked on for next year.  One challenge has been getting the word out to Tehachapi when we have sign-up’s. We use the Newspaper, movie theater slides, school flyers and road signs but it’s never enough. Remember to spread the word to friends and family and start looking for information on sign-up’s in April.

Next year will be my last year as Commissioner.  It has been a pleasure working with all the volunteers to make Tehachapi AYSO a world class youth sports program!  I will continue to be involved well into the future but it is time for a new Commish!

We will have some new board members for next year but there’s always room for more. If you would like to help and get more involved please give me a call or reply to this email. Help make a difference in the lives of the children in Tehachapi.

Thank you again and like always, I will see you on the fields!

Hello Coaches!

I just wanted to let everyone know about our annual coaches meeting for this year. We encourage coaches

 and assistant coaches to attend so that we are all on the same page about this season. It will be

out at the soccer fields on Friday August 26th at 7:00 pm (the night before Opening Day).

At the meeting we will:

1. discuss division rule changes and schedule changes

2. pass out goalie jersey's

3. pass out t-shirt fundraiser information

4. pass out picture day information and schedules

5. review what the qualifications will be for end of the year playoff's

6. pass out additional uniforms ordered due to player add-on's

7. answer any other questions coaches might have

The board would like to extend an open invitation to any that would like to "camp out" at

 the fields that night.   Campers are welcome!

           New 2011 Schedules for             
Referee Classes and Training

Did you know that if you are at least 12 years old, you can sign up to be a referee? Come train to
be a referee and earn community service credit! You can be an assistant ref, a U-8 ref, or
(after a certain age) you may even be able to be a center ref! Sign up to join classes!

We will hold a drawing at the end of the season for raffle prizes!

The more games you ref, the more entries you will receive
